Visiting Villa Palandri in Tuscany

Villa Palandri Florence“Villa Palandri”, located nearby Greve in Chianti (Florence), is the headquarters of the “Museum of the Florentine Peasant Culture”. In extending a warm welcome to its visitors, “Villa Palandri” would like to share some historical information pertaining to the property. History tells us that in 15th century these Tuscany villas were the property of the Palandri Family. It was later bought by the Medici family, cousins of the reigniting Grand Duchy at that time. It then remained in the Medici family for 4 centuries.

The farm organization is typical of Tuscan landed property: the patron house is surrounded by buildings used for the production of wine and oil products from the houses of the surrounding village farmers. The current appearance of the villa can be traced to the middle of the 17th century, while the village building were restored between the end of the 18th century and the beginning on the 19th. These dates can be found engraved in some of the ornamental stonework of the buildings. Villa Palandri is a good choice in your tuscany tour.
